A business instinct from an early age
David Perez was born in Casablanca, Morocco, and raised in Philadelphia. His entrepreneurial path began at age 10, growing from neighborhood businesses into technology sales and management by his teenage years and laying the foundation for a decades-long career in business.

Turning instinct into enterprise
In 1986, David and his sisters, Linda and Deborah, became leading dealers for Sony of America before expanding into cellular telecommunications across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and California and pioneering an early bundled cellular lease program.
That instinct for recognizing opportunity continued across the decades, shaping David’s involvement with brands including Suja Juice, SIB, and Uptime Energy.
A DEFINING CHAPTER
Turning loss into purpose
At 23, David’s life changed irrevocably after a car accident claimed the life of Michelle Polaski, a young woman close to him who aspired to become a physician. David was convicted of reckless driving and served one year in jail, followed by five years of community service.
The experience became a defining turning point, shaping a deeper sense of responsibility, service, and purpose that continues to influence his life and work today.

Today, David’s focus is Lumati, bringing together decades of entrepreneurship, a personal pursuit of health and longevity, and a belief that time is our most valuable resource.

David Perez has no relation, affiliation, or connection to another individual of the same name, seven years his senior and based in Carlsbad, who was reportedly involved in a 2016 legal matter concerning the sale of unapproved Energy Wave medical devices.
