David Perez is a seasoned leader in orchestrating large-scale natural disaster relief efforts and rescue missions at ground zero. His passion for philanthropy drives him to be at the forefront of disaster response, coordinating relief and logistics operations for organizations such as NGO's, USAID, American Red Cross, FEMA, and the US Military.

Founder of The Coalition of Hope Foundation, Inc.

David Perez was the sole founder of The Coalition of Hope Foundation, Inc. (COH), formerly 2 Life 18 Foundation, Inc., established in 2005 to provide humanitarian aid and disaster relief in communities facing crisis. As stated in the GuideStar 2005 IRS 990 form).

Under Perez’s leadership, COH mobilized large-scale relief operations across the U.S. and internationally, delivering critical food, water, medical supplies, and emergency resources through strategic partnerships and coordinated logistics. Perez stepped down from COH in 2019 to pursue other philanthropic initiatives.

Hurricane Katrina Relief

David Perez and COH directed a $35 million Katrina relief operation, coordinating 74 airlift missions and delivering more than 1 million pounds of food, water, and medical supplies across the Gulf States.

Haiti Earthquake Relief

Following the 2010 earthquake, COH led an 18-month, $110 million humanitarian mission, coordinating more than 5.2 million pounds of emergency aid in partnership with organizations including the

American Red Cross.

Hurricane Sandy Response

After Hurricane Sandy, Perez led COH's relief efforts in the Rockaways, delivering more than 120,000 meals, 30,000 gallons of fuel, and 1,450 tons of supplies while working with local leaders on recovery.

Hurricane Irma Response

In 2017, Perez led a major FEMA Mission Assignment supporting communities across the Florida Keys, coordinating the delivery of food, drinking water, healthcare, and critical emergency services.
